bargello consists of long and short stitches worked over two or more threads of the canvas creating a repeated geometric design. any bargello pattern can be adapted and made into exciting wearing apparel such as the "highly controversial + saucy hot pants" shown here. below is author lynn paulin wearing the outfit.

My mom made a bargello pillow (gold orange yellow with an orange crushed velvet back) when I was a kid. She still has it on her couch. . . She wasn't the kind of chick to WEAR bargello, however. ..
