vintage heath buttons, circa 1960s

when i was at the los angeles heath store the other day i just could not resist these buttons. i had been wanting to get my hands on some ever since seeing them in heath ceramics: the complexity of simplicity. edith called them "kiln fillers" - small projects such as beads, jewelry and buttons.

they have a few left and all proceeds benefit the brian and edith heath foundation.
