i ran across this advertisement while looking for the image i used in the previous post - this is one of the things i was cracking up to myself over. but truthfully the (even though it's dorky) copy for this ad comes pretty close to summing up the way i was feeling at the time. come to think about spending 4 hours alone listening to music and making stuff still sounds like a good idea to me.

i am acquainted with a few publicists who work for publishers that publish craft and design books. they occasionally send me review copies of their latest offerings. if i choose to do so i sometimes make mention of these books if i think the readers of this blog might be interested in hearing what i think about them. in some cases these are books that i have contributed to and of course want to lend a hand in the promotion of them.
Oh, if only I'd seen this ad growing up! Maybe I wouldn't have spent my formative years hiding my craftiness!
