if i had more time i would probably look at fashion blogs but honestly i have come to rely on my fashionista friends and the occasional flip through vogue magazine for fashion updates. it's not that i don't love fashion but my focus lately has been elsewhere. there is one exception to this - the fabulous mrs. o blog. i love all of her outfits and and think it's fantastic that she wears clothing from young and lesser-known american designers. i was in tears (of joy) on inauguration morning when i saw her wearing isabel toledo.
when i look at my blog stats i am always very excited to see that i am linked from or mentioned in another blog. late last week i noticed a big spike in traffic and saw that it was coming form the mrs. o blog. i was thrilled to see that they not only mentioned my craftzine post but also linked to photos of my students' work from a recent class at home ec.
i think that my favorite thing about michelle's sense of style is that she's not afraid to wear big accessories, especially when it comes to jewelry - and floral brooches are a favorite. just look at her here wearing vintage (!) papier mache. how freakin' cool is that!
