ooh I think I got that same book at Goodwill - I gave it to Sister Diane, thought she'd appreciate it!
After seeing that same concept in Amy Sedaris' I Like You book, I did a silly version in my old apartment, with pipe cleaners: http://www.flickr.com/photos/-leethal-/287284114/in/set-72157600024210296/ It looks so much better with the different colored hose!

Wow! I would love to see the original book proposal for this. Here's what the pitch might have sounded like: "This will be the one and only, definitive book on panty hose crafts" Just saying that in my head makes me believe that anything is possible!
