weaving without a loom has been getting a lot of attention lately as it has been featured on many blogs - such as nothing is new. with a cover like that i was of course curious and had to track a copy down.
the arrival of my copy just happened to coincide with a weaving class that i took the other day. whenever i have been working a lot i find it relaxing to take a class and learn something i have never done before.
i think it would be safe to say that i have been bit by the weaving bug and am already shopping around for a loom and looking into other classes.

lovely pictures! I love weaving and macrame, especially when I see the books from the 60's and 70's. And lately I've been seeing instructions for outdoor looms which would be so fun in the garden. But I think I'll stick with my weave-it looms for now.

This is so interesting! These are BIG! I love weaving, also, but I weave paper and plastic in small dimensions. I can't imagine trying to get something to hang like that!
