on my recent drive back from the bay area i thought that there was something rather beautiful about the orchards along the side of the freeway that were dying out. they reminded me of the work of ruth asawa.

What an extraordinary image! We are so lucky in the Bay Area to have so many examples and exhibits of her work.

We just drove by the orchards, too. It was sad. Your memory and the image is perfect.
