here are a few favorites from wall hangings: designing with fabric and thread by sarita rainey (who also wrote weaving without a loom). fabric and thread have been on my mind lately because my weaving class starts up again next week and i am attending a woad workshop tomorrow.
ooo, I had to look up "woad". That sounds amazing! Have you done much dying before? And I love the wall hangings, that is the sort of thing that is influencing my printmaking. Thanks for sharing, as always!

we had so much thread art in our house when i was a kid. i was always mesmerized by it. my favorite was a huge intricate goldfish on a green canvas background. the thread were various shades of orange and red wound around teeny delicate golden nails.

I'm hooked (no pun intended) on these wall hangings. Such a great vibe, and amazing in a laid-back California setting. Love it!
